Apartments Newquay
Introduction
The Cheviot Holiday Apartments Newquay are situated on the Gannel Road
overlooking the River Gannel Estuary.
We are situated approximately 500 yards along from the Trenance lake roundabout
on the right hand side when heading towards Fistral Beach.
Pre-Arrival
• There are directions to the apartments in our brochure and on our web site.
• Newquay bus station is 3/4 of a mile away; the railway station is 1 mile and
the airport about 6 miles. There are taxis available at the bus station, railway
station and airport. Car hire is also available at Newquay Airport. There are a
number of taxis that operate in Newquay and you will find the telephone numbers
of some in our Welcome File.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
• There is parking available at the apartments with one parking available for
apartment 1, three spaces for apartment 2 and four spaces for each of the 4
bedroom apartments. All the parking is within the grounds and is on the same
level as the ground floor accommodation.
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area
• On your arrival at the apartments we will meet you with your keys. There are
no shared areas at the apartments.
Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors
etc
• There are no shared areas within the main building; each apartment has its own
private entrance.
Public Areas - Sitting room, lounges, lobbies etc
• There are no internal shared areas at the apartments the guests are welcome to
use any of the garden and barbecue facilities provided as well as the swimming
pool please take time to read the safety notes regarding the pool located in the
Welcome File.
Laundry
• There is a ground floor Laundry room available to all guests at the rear of
the apartments, a key can be found in each apartment kitchen.
• There are 2 washing machines a tumble dryer and stainless steel sink with hot
and cold water available, clothes lines are in the garden at the higher level.
Shop
• The nearest shop for items such as milk and newspapers is at the Texaco garage
on the Gannel Road.Turn left on leaving the Cheviot follow the road straight on
at the roundabout.
Attractions (Displays, exhibits, rides etc.)
• There are various leisure attractions to be found within a short walk from the
apartments including horse riding stables, swimming pool and fun pool with
flumes, mini golf, gardens, a boating lake and a Zoo covering 10 acres and home
to 130 different species of birds and animals.
Grounds and Gardens
• There are both front and rear gardens for the guests to enjoy. The front
garden has a lawned area and seating with a barbecue. The rear garden is on a
higher level accessed from a flight of steps or across a wooden bridge from
apartment three it has lawned and paved areas with seating and loungers as well
as barbecue facilities.
Additional Information
• All apartments have fire detection and alarm systems fitted to detect both
heat and smoke. In the event of the alarm sounding please assemble on the front
lawn.
• In the event of power failure in an apartment the emergency lights will come
on automatically, a torch can also be found in each Kitchen.

Future Plans
• We operate a policy of continual replacement and refurbishment to keep. Recent
additions include an extra shower room in Apartment 4 and an additional shower
room and toilet in apartment 3.
